FAQs

Are your services limited to Alaska, or do you travel?

We are proudly based in Alaska, but are happy to travel for in-person interviews! (Sorry, we don’t do Zoom). Availability depends on location and scheduling, and additional fees may apply. Contact us to discuss logistics.

How long does it take to receive the finished product?

The timeline depends on the video package you select, but typically, we aim to deliver your finished products within a month of filming. We always provide an estimated timeline before we begin. Let us know if you have a specific deadline and we’ll do our best to accommodate!

How is the payment structured / what do you accept?

We offer flexible payment options to fit your needs:

  • A deposit is required to secure your interview date.

  • The remaining balance is due upon completion of the project.

  • Payment plans may be available for larger projects—please reach out to discuss options!

We accept credit cards, checks, and secure payment methods like Venmo and PayPal.

Is there a discount for interviewing multiple family members?

Yes! We offer a discounted rate for multiple family members if their interviews are scheduled on separate days. This allows each person to have a dedicated session, ensuring their story is captured fully and with the attention it deserves.

Is there a discount for conducting another interview with the same person at a later date?

Absolutely! We love continuing life stories over time. If you schedule a follow-up interview within 5 years, we offer a returning client discount as a thank-you for continuing your legacy with us.

How does the Legacy Video process work?

1. Initial Consultation - Choosing the right package

This is our chance to connect! In this conversation, I’ll walk you through the interview process, available packages, and pricing, helping you determine the best option for your family. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and get a clear understanding of how everything works.

While we’ll briefly discuss the overall vision for the interview, we won’t dive into specific topics or questions just yet—that comes next!

2. Pre-Shoot Meet & Greet – Preparing for the Experience

Once you decide to move forward, we’ll schedule an in-person Pre-Shoot Meet & Greet. This is an important part of the process because it:

- Creates a comfortable, familiar connection before the interview day.
- Allows us to discuss key topics—what’s most important to capture and what should remain private.
- Gives you time to reflect on your story before the actual interview.

During this meeting, you’ll receive a Welcome Kit with details on:
- Sample questions to think about.
- What to wear for the best on-camera presence.
- How long the interview will take and what to expect.

By the time the interview day arrives, you won’t feel like a stranger is walking into your home—you’ll feel prepared, comfortable, and excited for this special experience.

3. The Interview – Capturing Your Story

On the scheduled day, I’ll arrive at your home and set up a relaxed, intimate space for your on-camera conversation.

The interview follows a chronological flow while weaving in deeper, introspective questions designed to evoke emotion and reflection. My role is to gently guide the conversation, allowing you to share your story naturally and authentically.

4. Editing & Production – Bringing It All Together

Once the interview is complete, I’ll carefully edit the footage, enhancing the visuals, audio, and overall storytelling to create a polished, high-quality final video.

5. Delivery & Legacy Preservation – A Family Treasure

Your completed video will be delivered in your chosen format, ready to be shared, cherished, and passed down through generations. More than just a recording, this will be a timeless gift—a piece of family history that will grow in value with every passing year.
